COVID-19 Precautions

Please also see our Current Events page for additional information about important class procedures, studio policies, and dress codes changes that are affected by COVID-19 protocols.

The continued safety of our students and staff is of the utmost importance to us. We will follow the mandates and recommendations set forth by the Governor and the leading health agencies to help stop the spread of COVID-19:

  • Masks – covering nose and mouth – are required to be worn during all classes (indoor and out), as well as in all public areas in the studio.
  • Hand sanitizer will be made available for students and staff. It is recommended that all students wash their hands with soap before attending class, and again once they return home.
  • Students should not come to class if they have a fever or any symptoms of COVID-19, including chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.
  • Students should not come to class until they have been symptom-free for 14 days if they have had known contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19, or if they have had a positive COVID-19 test result themselves.
  • Classes will be held in studios with open air doorways and enhanced air flow. Class sizes will be limited to allow for recommended distancing between students. Virtual options are available for all classes, and classes may go to all virtual as state and local restricts dictate.

All classes assigned to studios are subject to changes in status based on COVID-19 statistics. We appreciate your cooperation while we make real-time adjustments to our programming during the pandemic. As much notice as possible will be given to effect changes.

Attendance

Please notify us if a student will not be in class: call 248.380.1666, or e-mail us at csdc5678@dancingcenterstage.com. Students are expected to attend classes regularly. Excessive absences are grounds for elimination from the class and any related performances including June Recitals. Individual instructors will determine if private tutoring (see Specialty Class Rates) is warranted.

Participation in Company Level Classes & Competition Team

Company Level classes require consistent attendance and a high level of commitment both personally and to your classmates. Excessive absenteeism is not allowed for any reason within the control of the dancer, i.e., conflicting membership on another team (sports, musicals, etc.). Individual instructors will determine if a student, and his/her classmates, will benefit from private tutoring (see fee schedule) in the event of a situation out of the control of the dancer, i.e. health or family issues, that affects the dancer’s ability to come to or participate regularly in class. Your acceptance of this class placement constitutes your agreement to abide by these rules to maintain your standing at this Company class level.
