Tap & Jazz Lines

Participation in our Lines is an honor and gives students extra opportunity to practice their performance technique. Each Line performs a piece in our June Showcases, where dancers are recognized for their achievement.

Qualified Tap and Jazz dancers will be invited to join a line based on age and skill level. Dancers may also choose to audition for a higher level Line.

The Lines:

• Future Stars, Ages 6-10
• Gold Stars Tap & Jazz, Ages 8+
• Platinum Company Tap & Jazz, Ages 12+
• Diamond Company Tap & Jazz, Ages 12+

Dancers are evaluated in six (6) categories:

• Sequence
• Musicality
• Performance Quality
• Style
• Clarity
• Quick Study or Recall

Requirements:

• You must be currently enrolled in the matching technique class at Center Stage.
• Students are required to sign a Commitment Contract.
• Separate rehearsals are required; the rehearsal schedule will be included with the invitation letter.
• Rehearsals begin in February or March; Regular attendance is required. (Line members are allowed one excused absence.)
• Line dancers are expected to participate in all assigned June showcases.
• Additional tuition and costume fees apply.
